About Beth Cooper

Beth Cooper Beth was born and raised in Kailua, O'ahu, Hawai'i. The beach and ocean are her playground.
Art has always been a part of her life. She graduated from Oregon State University with a Fine Arts Degree in Textile Design. She has been a Wild land Fire Fighter, a School Teacher and is now a full time artist in Maui, Hawai’i.

Traveling to Tahiti, American Samoa, Australia, Canada, Nepal, Marshall Islands, the Greek Islands, and around the U.S, has given her wonderful ideas for her art. There are some amazing artists she has found in some of the smallest villages..

"I never felt like I was confined to painting the grass green, the sky blue, or cows black and white. I decided, after not much pondering, that color is what makes the world go round."

She keeps busy with her paintings, competing in outrigger canoe paddling, surfing, back backing where ever there are mountains, and teaching middle school kids about art as well as how to be good human beings. She worked with students at a school, painting the walls with murals, creating large mosaic pieces, and even painted flags of the world, down a road for kids to walk by on, which is visible on Google Earth!

Beth combines her art using color in every way imaginable. Her art is described as Fauvism. People feel happy when they see her work, and want to live in her world of color. Her art is found all over the U.S. as well as a few other countries.

She has been commissioned by Starbucks for a canoe paddling racing series, and by American Cancer Society for a gala event, creating the art used for the posters and ticket sales.

"Come into my world of color! There really is a world where the grass is blue, the sky yellow, and the cows just might be pink! I hope you find yourself smiling when you're looking around my website!"
